Aakshita Bansal is licensed to practice law in California, US and India.

 

At Inventus Law, she currently works as a legal extern and assists both Corporate and Commercial teams. On the Corporate side, she assists attorneys on advising clients on ownership structuring and entity formation in the US and India, drafting their governing documents and key business contract with third parties in compliance with the laws of both US and India. She works alongside attorneys to advise clients on raising capital through private placement of securities from investors based in the US and India; conduct due diligence, draft transactional and ancillary documents and facilitate closure of transactions.

 

On the Commercial side, she assists Attorney Christopher Rasmussen (Managing Partner) on advising clients regarding matters pertaining to The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and Small Business Administration (SBA) loans under the CARES Act.

 

Prior to her role at Inventus Law, Aakshita had completed externships at Cummins Inc., Judicial Chambers of Justice Mark Massa at The Indiana Supreme Court and Eglen Law. She has also experienced working as a Paralegal at Gray, Robinson, Ryan & Fox, a litigation firm based in Indianapolis, IN. Outside of work, Aakshita is passionate about linking her legal skills with community service. She worked as a Guardian ad Litem at Kid’s Voice of Indiana, and also helped formerly incarcerated individuals as a member of SCRAP to provide them access to job opportunities and information. She also served as a board member on Indiana-India Business Council (IIBC), a not-for-profit organization promoting business between India and Indiana.

 

Aakshita will graduate with a J.D. from Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Indiana University in Sep 2020. Previously, she graduated with an LL.M. from William and Mary Law School, Williamsburg, VA in Jan 2016. She holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Amity Law School in Delhi, India. Aakshita enjoys activities like biking, badminton, practicing yoga and baking. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
