Abhilipsa Panda is a Senior Associate in the Commercial, Privacy, and AI Governance practice at Inventus Law, where she advises emerging and growth stage companies on complex commercial transactions, data protection compliance, and technology-related regulatory risk. Her practice focuses on helping technology-driven businesses operationalize global privacy and AI governance requirements while supporting scalable commercial growth.

Abhilipsa regularly counsels startups and scaling companies across SaaS, AI, healthcare, digital health, medtech, and data analytics sectors on U.S. and international privacy frameworks, including GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and CPRA, HIPAA, and other evolving state and global privacy regimes. She works closely with founders, product, engineering, and compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical, business-aligned policies, internal governance programs, and contractual protections.

Her experience includes drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial and technology agreements, including SaaS agreements, master services agreements, data processing agreements, pilot and design partner agreements, licensing arrangements, and intellectual property and confidentiality frameworks. She also advises clients on privacy by design, AI and automated decision-making considerations, cross-border data transfers, and regulatory diligence in connection with financings and M&A transactions.

Abhilipsa holds multiple Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) credentials and the Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) certification, reflecting her specialized focus on privacy engineering, AI governance, and emerging regulatory frameworks.

Prior to joining Inventus Law, Abhilipsa trained with intellectual property, litigation, and privacy-focused law firms, where she assisted on patent prosecution, PTAB proceedings, trademark filings, and comparative GDPR research.

Abhilipsa holds a B.B.A. LL.B. (Honors) from NMIMS School of Law, Mumbai, and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from Santa Clara University School of Law. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Odia, and Bengali. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors, follows Formula 1 closely, and is actively involved in animal welfare through shelter volunteering.
